A day spent with Thalassemic kids at Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Centre, Indeed a blessed day.
On Tuesday, March 19' 2017, an energizing and refreshing funfilled camp of 4 hours for Thalassemic children was arranged by Peace for karachi at Kashif Iqbal thalassemia centre.
The objective of the program was to give awareness about Thalassemia and to spend quality time with thalassemic kids.
The day was really an energizer for kids who were suffering from this painful disesase. It was indeed a relaxing and joyful event in which kids played games and participated in different activities as well.
Peace for Karachi arranged gifts and snacks for kids who were their to attend the program. Volunteers distributed gifts among the children. Kids were really happy and enjoyed the session alot. session Include different games, Magic show, comedy segment and motivational speeches by guest speakers.
Photographers volunteered and recorded the precious memories of the event. It was indeed a pleasure for us as well to serve these kids by giving our time and spreading smile on their faces.
The program was accompanied by chief guests Mr. Anas ahmed, RJ. Shumaila Lodhi, RJ. Mana Azeemi Mr. Usman Shabbir and the owner of KITC, MR. Iqbal (father of late Kashif Iqbal) who started this center after the death of his own son kashif due to thalassemia. Event was hosted by Syeda Zeenat Rizvi, Volunteer at Peace for karachi.
At the end volunteers had a blood test at KITC which gave us the result in just 54 seconds. Volunteers donated the blood as well.
Many thanks to founder of Peace for Karachi Arsal naqvi for coming up with the idea of this amazing event and giving us a chance to serve the community. It was indeed an honour for everyone to be the part of this noble cause and to be the reason of their smiles.
In the end we request you all that be the reason of someone's smile, make these kids happy by donating blood and give them another day to enjoy the life. If you can donate, please do, It will save someon's life.
